From small containers to bundles: Among our more than 30 different cylinder types, you'll find the right solution for every application – whether it's a 1-liter pressure cylinder for operating and reference gases, a small cylinder, a steel cylinder, or a bundle of cylinders.
We ship small containers and small cylinders up to 10 liters directly. Our larger units are available through our sales partners or Westfalen Logistik.
Below you'll find a rough overview of our container sizes.
Want to know exactly? You can find all the details, including the available cylinder sizes and delivery formats for each product, in our online shop or in our product range.
Our Alumini® small containers in the form of pressurized cans, gas bags, and small aluminum gas cylinders are ideal for customers who require gases in small quantities or for mobile applications. Our smallest container is the Alumini® 12 fly, with a volume of 1 liter and a weight of 200 grams. The pressurized can is approved for air transport and can therefore land wherever it is needed. The Alumini® range also includes our ultra-lightweight Alumini® 1 gas bags with 5, 15, or 28 l capacities, the Alumini® 200 in compact dimensions for high working pressures up to 200 bar, and our all-rounder, the Alumini® 70, with a capacity of up to 112 liters of gas and a weight of only approximately 1.2 kg. We also offer all the fittings and connections required for every container shape and size. The compact small containers are delivered via parcel service throughout Germany, as well as to France, Austria, the Benelux countries, and Switzerland.
Further details can be found on our Alumini® page.
The most common delivery format for technical gases is the classic steel cylinder. These range from 1-liter cylinders for medical oxygen to 127-liter cylinders for ammonia. Most industrial and specialty gases are available in Type 10, Type 20, and Type 50 cylinders (nominal capacities of 10, 20, and 50 liters, respectively). The same applies to our welding, cutting, and laser gases. Refrigerants are predominantly filled in 12.3- and 61-liter cylinders.
The respective filling volume of our containers depends on the filling pressure and the physical properties of the individual gases. We also fill the air gases argon, oxygen and nitrogen, as well as compressed air, synthetic air, helium and hydrogen, as well as some Sagox® welding shielding gases and Protadur® food gases, using 300 bar technology: Compared to cylinders with a usual filling pressure of 200 bar, these containers have a capacity that is half that of cylinders.
If your demand exceeds the economically viable supply of individual cylinders, cylinder bundles are used. Several cylinders connected via high-pressure piping enable long-term gas extraction, eliminating the need to constantly change individual cylinders. Westfalen cylinder bundles typically consist of twelve 50-liter cylinders and are available with a 200-bar connection. Westfalen also offers nitrogen in so-called duo bundles, each with a 200-bar and a 300-bar connection. Additional gas types in duo bundles will follow.
