Are synthetic fuels like e-fuels an alternative to the e-car?

Electricity-based fuels such as e-fuels are only available in small quantities, and their production is also energy-intensive and therefore expensive. They are also only climate-neutral if they are produced from renewable sources of electricity. So there is still controversy about whether and in which areas e-fuels are a worthwhile alternative to the e-car.

Which alternative fuels are future-proof?

Whether electric mobility, hydrogen technology, LNG and CNG as fuel or e-fuels: there is no one future-proof drive technology for all. A logistically sensible and economically viable use depends on the one hand on industry-specific requirements and on the other hand on vehicle availability and infrastructure.
