Westfalen wins Daimler Truck Supplier Award 2024

Award-winning supplier: At the Supplier Summit 2024, Daimler Truck Holding AG presented the Westfalen Group with the Daimler Truck Supplier Award for exceptional performance and outstanding collaboration. The award was presented to seven suppliers worldwide. At the ceremony, the commercial vehicle manufacturer highlighted Westfalen's in-depth expertise in the supply of gaseous hydrogen and praised the company's very high flexibility and fast response times in delivery. Daimler Truck relies on the Münster-based company for the supply of hydrogen to its fuel cell test stands. 

Andreas Gorbach, Member of the Executive Board of Daimler Truck Holding AG, responsible for Truck Technology, explained at the award ceremony in Stuttgart in front of around 200 invited suppliers: “The transformation towards decarbonization and digitalization is a huge challenge for our industry. However, we at Daimler Truck also recognize a huge opportunity here, which we want to take advantage of. To this end, more than ever, strong, reliable and long-term partnerships are crucial.” This year's Supplier Summit of the company was held under the motto “empowering tomorrow - together today”. 

Andreas Weisheit, Head of Westfalen's Industrial Gases & Services division, sees the award as “a sign of our customer focus” and adds: “We are more than proud to receive the Daimler Truck Supplier Award 2024 – especially considering the standing Daimler has in the industry”. Felix Pönisch, Key Account Manager responsible for Daimler Truck, accepted the prize in person: “We are absolutely delighted to receive this award. It proves that commitment pays off.” At the ceremony, Pönisch also thanked his colleague Andreas Kling, a gas technology engineer who designed and implemented the project.
