The Westfalen Group is rigorously pursuing its path of further growth within its core business. “As part of a strategic realignment within the company, we are placing an increasing focus on our core competencies and the core region – Germany, Austria and Switzerland –, as well as France and Benelux,” explains Dr Thomas Perkmann, CEO of the Westfalen Group. “The goal is to continue to pursue organic growth and ensure that we are fit for the future.” In this context, Rießner-Gase GmbH from Lichtenfels (Federal State of Bavaria) will take over the Czech subsidiary of the Westfalen Group, Münster, which is registered in Plzeň-Křimice, as of 31 December 2020.
The Westfalen Group and Rießner-Gase GmbH already have a strong shared history: Westfalen and Rießner have been running a carbon dioxide production plant in Frankfurt am Main together with two other medium-sized gas suppliers since 2014.
